Family ID – One Family, One Identity is a flagship e-Governance initiative of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, enabled through the Centre for e-Governance (CeG), to create a unified and verified family-level
database for more targeted, transparent, and proactive delivery of government welfare schemes and services.
Launched in July 2022, Family ID consolidates verified demographic, eligibility, and scheme-benefit information of families into a common digital framework. Built on the Aadhaar-authenticated Public Distribution System (PDS) database and integrated with departmental
systems through APIs, it provides a reliable source of citizen and family information for efficient welfare administration.
The platform supports beneficiary identification, targeted inclusion and exclusion, improved scheme coverage, and data-driven decision-making, helping the government deliver welfare benefits more efficiently while reducing duplication and improving transparency.
