Uttar Pradesh AI Mission (UP-AIM)
UP AI-Mission (UP-AIM) is a strategic AI-led digital transformation initiative of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, enabled through the Centre for e-Governance
(CeG), with the vision of establishing Uttar Pradesh as a trusted, inclusive, and AI-enabled digital economy that advances citizen-centric governance and responsible innovation.
The mission brings together seven integrated dimensions covering AI Compute & Digital Infrastructure, UP AI Stack & Domain Applications, AI Talent & Future Skills, AI Research & Centres of Excellence,
AI Startups & MSMEs, AI Trust & Assurance, and District AI Enablement. Together, these pillars create a comprehensive ecosystem for responsible adoption and application of Artificial Intelligence across government, industry, academia, and communities.
The Government of Uttar Pradesh has approved a ₹2,500 crore budgetary outlay for five years to accelerate AI-driven innovation, governance, and digital transformation across the state. With Deloitte onboarded as the Project Management Unit (PMU), the mission is
progressing towards finalisation of its concept note, UP AI-Stack, AI use cases, strategic partnerships with the IndiaAI Mission, and an HPC-based Rudra platform in collaboration with C-DAC.
